PMR Preview: Will O'Kelley

We're excited to introduce you to our team in our PMR Preview series. We have a group that's not only interesting but also dedicated to providing the best customer service and we're proud of what they do for PMR!

This month we sat down with our Corporate Chef Will O'Kelley. Will is not only an amazing chef, but he also provides training for customers who are considering purchasing new equipment. Let's find out how Will got into the industry and a few other things you might not know about him.

How long have you been with PMR?

18 years

How did you get started in the foodservice industry?

I attended culinary school in Dunwoody (just outside Atlanta) and started my foodservice career in catering prior to cooking at the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta.

What do you like best about the part of the industry that you specialize in?

I primarily work with chains and sell through demonstration and training. I really enjoy the hands-on training we are able to provide. It instills confidence in the customer and really helps close the sale.

What's one thing customers don't realize about your job that is important to provide them with great service?

The complete details of their procedures are needed to truly provide them with accurate test data. Without this info, I cannot evaluate the equipment properly and provide them with the best piece of equipment to meet their needs.

What's your favorite part about your job?

Learning about our customer's operations and how they go about their day-to-day business.

Do you have a favorite food?

Seafood, red wine, and bourbon.

Tell us someplace you've always wanted to visit, but haven't made it there yet.

Tokyo, Japan and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Do you have a favorite quote or inspirational saying that you'd like to share with us?

If you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready.

Ready to work with Chef Will to find solutions to make your businesses run more efficiently? Schedule time to come into our test kitchen and find the best equipment for your needs.
