This month we're chatting with Amber Richart, who is our Healthcare and Smallwares Specialist in Arkansas. Amber grew up in the state and began her career at the age of 12 working in her family's shoe store. Let's learn a little more about her and what some of her passions in life are.  ### Tell us a bit about yourself. How did you wind up at PMR? I met Jason Jones and some of [the PMR team](https://pmreps.com/team/) while (I was) working in Long Term Care (LTC) as a LTC Pharmacy Representative and then as an Administrator running a LTC facility.  ### What do you enjoy most about working at PMR? The culture of PMR is unlike any I have ever experienced. They are truly a “family” working together as a true TEAM to promote the Manufacturers we represent while taking care of our communities in the field. ### How did you get started in the foodservice industry? People-ing while helping. Customer service runs deep in my background and I love to work with others to find a solution that helps fit their needs and seeing them smile.  ### What do you see as the biggest challenges facing the restaurant industry today?  The continuing rise of food costs versus (the) decrease in quality staffing.  ### What are some of your passions outside of work? I love staying active with personal health and fitness goals. Love to spend time with my family outside whether that's attending their soccer games, camping or going to the lake.  Thrifting is my JAM, and in my quiet time, I love to be buried in a book. Music. I love music playing at all times, all genres. And lastly TRAVEL!!! I love planning trips!! ### Who are your biggest influences? My paternal grandparents. They are no longer here, but I spent a lot of time with them growing up and appreciate all they taught me about life and hard work.   ### Are you a fan of any sports teams? Any team in the SEC is fun to watch college football. I love to watch soccer, any team. And hockey is a new love of mine. I don’t really have a team for any of them. I tend to root for the underdog and a great game!   just enjoy the movement of the game, the fans, the excitement.   ### What's your favorite vacation destination? Mexico! ### What’s at the top of your bucket list? Colorado in the summer to enjoy white water rafting and a [concert at Red Rocks](https://www.redrocksonline.com/).
